How it picks podcast moments
A podcast clip works when it makes sense to someone who never heard the episode: a clear claim, a story with its setup, an answer with its question. Does it follow whoever is speaking?
The vertical crop follows the person on screen and reframes on camera cuts. In a two-person wide shot it can stack both people, one above the other, instead of cropping to the empty space between them.
Will the clips cut people off mid-sentence?
Clips are snapped to sentence boundaries and short picks are widened to include the setup, so a clip starts at the start of a thought and ends at the end of it.
