Clipping for clippers: campaign clips at one flat price, from VODs up to 6 hours

Paid clipping is a volume job on multi-hour streams, which is the worst case for every metered tool. How to run a campaign workflow on a flat price, what the watermark means for submissions, and where the limits are.

Clipping for campaigns is a volume job. The money is per thousand views, the footage is three to six hour streams, and the clipper who gets through more VODs this week earns more than the one with the nicer transitions. That makes it the worst case for every tool that meters you by upload minute: one Kick stream can be a month's allowance, and you end up rationing which VODs to even try.

This page is for people clipping other creators' streams and podcasts for pay, on Whop campaigns, Discord bounties or an agency roster. If you are clipping your own show, the podcasters, Twitch streamers and Kick streamers pages fit better. If you run clippers rather than clipping yourself, see agencies.

The arithmetic that decides your tool

Two numbers matter: how many source hours you process a month, and what each hour costs you. Metered tools make the second number grow with the first. A flat price makes it fall: the more VODs you run, the less each one costs.

GetClipMachine is one flat monthly price with no minute cap. Pro is €20 a month ($20 in the Americas) for unlimited videos up to 180 minutes each. Max is €45 a month ($45 in the Americas) for videos up to 6 hours, up to 10 links pasted at once, and up to 240 hours of video a month. Clip a 3-hour stream every day on Pro and the price never changes.

The detail on how metered pricing adds up for a clipper is in what credits really cost, and the pay rates on the campaign side are in how to make money clipping.

A campaign workflow that runs on volume

  1. Paste the VOD link. YouTube, Twitch, Kick and Vimeo links work, or upload a file up to 4 GB. On Max, paste up to 10 links at once and let them queue.
  2. Point it at the right stretch. If the link is longer than your plan covers, we clip the part it does cover, starting at the link's timestamp if it has one. So a Pro account clipping a 5-hour stream can paste the link with a ?t= marker at the moment the good hour starts.
  3. Close the tab. A long VOD takes a while to transcribe and clip. Your clips are ready when the job finishes.
  4. Triage by score, not by watching. Every clip comes back as a vertical 9:16 clip with captions burned in, a virality score and the reason it was picked. Read the reasons, keep the best, skip the rest.
  5. Pick the layout per clip. Full screen is the vertical crop that follows the speaker. Framed puts the whole frame, uncropped, under a logo, name and @handle on white, which keeps gameplay and the facecam corner intact and points every repost back at the channel you are clipping for. You can switch any finished clip between the two.
  6. Export without a watermark. Pro and Max put no watermark on any clip, Framed ones included. Pro exports in 1080p and Max in 4K.

Free, Pro or Max for a clipper

Free is the test. Three videos a month, up to 45 minutes each, with captions, reframing and the Framed layout included, and a small watermark on every export. Use it to find out whether a particular streamer's format comes out well before you commit a card. Do not submit Free clips to a campaign whose brief rejects watermarks, which is most of them.

Pro covers most campaign work: unlimited videos, no watermark, 1080p, and our most thorough AI clip selection, which finds more moments and cuts them more cleanly than the standard pass on Free. The limit is 180 minutes per video, which fits podcasts and shorter streams whole and longer streams in part.

Max is for whole streams and several channels at once: 6-hour videos, 10 links at a time, 10 brand profiles for the Framed layout so each campaign gets its own name and handle, and 240 hours a month. Pro subscribers can switch from the Subscription page and pay only the difference for the rest of the period. Every plan cancels with one click.

Permission and monetization are your job, not the tool's

Two rules decide whether a clip channel keeps earning, and no clipping tool can satisfy either for you.

Post with permission. Campaign briefs give you permission to post the footage, and that is the whole reason campaigns exist. Posting a stream without it can get your account struck. How to clip Kick streams covers the Kick side, and how to start a clipping channel covers getting footage you may post.

Campaign pay and YouTube pay are separate. A campaign pays you per view under its own brief. YouTube's own ad revenue goes through the Partner Program review, and its reused content policy applies to a clip channel even with the creator's permission. Captions and a vertical crop are not, on their own, the added value that review looks for. Will clips get demonetized? explains the policy from YouTube's own page and what a clip channel can add.

What it will not do

  • It cannot read chat. The moment where chat goes vertical is not in the audio. Note the stream timer when it happens and pull those by hand.
  • It will not compose a gameplay layout. No picture-in-picture of facecam over game footage. Framed shows the whole frame; Full screen follows the speaker.
  • There is no editor inside the app. You get a finished clip. Take it into CapCut or your usual editor if a brief needs more.
  • Heavy crosstalk degrades it. Party comms with everyone talking at once transcribe poorly, and poor transcription means worse cut points.
  • DMCA-muted stretches produce nothing. Where the audio is gone, so is the transcript.

Frequently asked questions

Can I submit Free plan clips to a clipping campaign?

You can, but many campaign briefs reject watermarked clips, and Free exports carry a small GetClipMachine watermark. Use Free to test whether a streamer's format clips well, and make the clips you submit on Pro or Max, which have no watermark on any clip.

How long a stream can I paste?

Up to 45 minutes on Free, 180 minutes on Pro and 6 hours on Max, with files up to 4 GB on every plan. Paste a link longer than your plan covers and the part it does cover is clipped, starting at the link's timestamp if it has one. A video over the limit is refused before processing starts and never counts against a free account's monthly videos.

Can I run several streams at once?

On Max you can paste up to 10 links at once. On Free and Pro you paste one link at a time, and you can close the tab while each one processes.

Can I brand clips differently for each streamer I clip?

Yes. The Framed layout puts a logo, a name and an @handle above the uncropped video. Pro has one brand profile; Max has up to 10, so a clipper working several campaigns can keep one profile per channel.
