GetClipMachine vs Eklipse: game-aware stream clipping vs transcript-led clipping
Eklipse detects in-game moments across connected streams and publishes for you. GetClipMachine clips any VOD or upload from speech and reactions: an honest look at where each one fits.

Eklipse is built for one audience: people who stream games. You connect a Twitch, Kick, YouTube or Facebook channel and its AI looks for in-game moments, which its features page describes as clutches, multi-kills, reactions and audience spikes, across what it says are 3000+ supported games.
GetClipMachine works differently. It reads the transcript and the audio energy of a video, so it finds what was said and where people got loud. It does not know what a kill is. That one difference decides most of this comparison.
On the numbers here. Eklipse's prices and plan details were read from their public help and features pages on 4 October 2026, linked at the bottom. Their pricing link leads to a sign-up page, not a public price table, so the figures come from their help centre. Those pages do not publish a clip count per stream, storage duration or a maximum stream length for the current plan. One help article mentions monthly "YouTube credits minutes" on Premium without saying how they apply today. This comparison claims nothing about any of those. Check directly if they matter to you.
The pricing, as published
Eklipse has one paid plan, Premium:
| Eklipse | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Free account | $0 | Connect a channel, AI scan of one recent stream, preview the moments it finds |
| Premium, monthly | $24.99/mo | Export and download, up to 1080p 60fps, no watermark, editing tools, templates, priority processing |
| Premium, yearly | $179.99/yr (about $14.99/mo) | Same |
Their help centre is direct about the free account: it is a preview, not a free clipping tier. Producing and exporting clips requires Premium.
| GetClipMachine | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | 3 videos a month, 1080p exports with a watermark, videos up to 45 minutes |
| Pro, monthly | €20/mo ($20 in the Americas) | Unlimited videos, no watermark, 1080p exports, videos up to 180 minutes and 4 GB |
| Pro, yearly | €16/mo (€192/yr) | Same |
Pro has no credits, no per-minute meter and no clip quota.
Game events vs what was said
If your streams are gameplay with little talking, Eklipse's approach fits the content better. A silent ace has no transcript to read, and a tool that recognises the game can still find it.
If your streams are talk-heavy, such as Just Chatting, podcasts, reaction content or commentary over gameplay, the moments worth clipping are usually in the words and the reactions. That is what GetClipMachine reads. Each clip comes with a virality score and written reasoning, so you can see why it was picked.
On framing, GetClipMachine reframes to 9:16 with face tracking, stacks two-person shots, and shows gameplay with no face on screen whole instead of cropping into it. Any clip can also switch to the Framed layout, which shows the whole stream picture on white under your logo, name and @handle. Captions are burned in word by word, in 99 languages, detected automatically.
What Eklipse does better
- In-game moment detection. Game-specific logic across a large game list. We do not detect in-game events at all.
- Stream integration. Connect a channel and it works from your streams, with a Voice Command feature for marking moments during a stream. We work on VODs and uploads only.
- Publishing and scheduling. Direct posting to TikTok, Shorts and Reels with a calendar. We do neither; you download the file and post it.
- Editing and templates. A studio for trimming and layout, AI memes and effects, and what they list as 1000+ templates. We have no editor and no template library.
- A mobile app. We don't have one.
- A lower yearly price. $179.99 a year is less than our €192.
What's different here
- A free tier that exports. Three videos a month, watermarked, at 1080p. Eklipse's free account previews but does not export.
- 4K exports on Max (€45/mo). Eklipse lists up to 1080p 60fps for Premium exports.
- Not only for games. Upload a file or paste a link: YouTube, Twitch VODs, Kick VODs, Vimeo and most direct video links.
- Regenerate and adjust freely. Nothing is metered on Pro, a point covered in what credits really cost.
Where we're the weaker pick
- Your best moments are gameplay events with no speech around them.
- You want a tool connected to your channel, so you never handle VOD links or files.
- You want scheduling and posting inside the same tool.
- You want templates, memes, effects or a timeline to edit in.
- You want to review clips on your phone in an app.
- You pay yearly and price is the deciding factor.
Short version
Eklipse if you stream games, want the tool wired into your channel, and value game-aware detection, editing and publishing in one place.
GetClipMachine if your content is carried by what people say, you clip sources beyond game streams, or you want to export clips before paying. See the page for Twitch streamers and pricing; vs Opus Clip and vs Vizard cover the credit-metered alternatives.
