1 min read

Yes: GetClipMachine turns a Twitch VOD link into captioned vertical clips. Paste the link to one VOD, and it downloads the stream, finds the moments worth posting and renders them as 9:16 clips with word-by-word captions, ready for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels. Pro is €20 a month for unlimited videos, with no credits, for VODs up to 3 hours; Max goes to 6.

At a glance

Input A Twitch VOD link (also Kick, YouTube, Vimeo, or an upload)
Output Vertical 9:16 clips, 1080x1920, with burned-in captions

Gameplay Shots with nobody in them are shown whole, not cropped; a corner webcam is kept
Price Free: 3 videos a month. Pro: €20/month, unlimited, no credits. Max: €45/month
VOD length Up to 45 minutes free, 3 hours on Pro, 6 hours on Max (4 GB)

How to clip a Twitch VOD

  1. On Twitch, open the channel's Videos tab, open the past broadcast and copy its address: twitch.tv/videos/<id>.
  2. Paste it into Clip Studio and press Import.
  3. You get an email when the clips are ready. Preview them, regenerate any you do not like, and download.

Why streamers use a flat price

A streamer clipping every broadcast, or a clipper working for several streamers, runs through a lot of hours. Credit-based clippers charge by the minute of video, so the long streams that have the most clips in them are exactly the ones that cost the most. GetClipMachine's Pro plan is one price for unlimited videos. How the two models compare over a month is worked out in what credits really cost.

What it does not do

There is no timeline editor and no built-in scheduler: you download the clips and post them where you like. If you want an editor and scheduler in one, see GetClipMachine vs StreamLadder for an honest comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Can GetClipMachine clip a Twitch VOD from a link?

Yes. Paste a Twitch VOD link (twitch.tv/videos/<id>) and it downloads the stream, finds the best moments and renders vertical 9:16 clips with captions. Nothing to download or upload yourself.

How long can the Twitch VOD be?

Up to 3 hours on Pro and up to 6 hours on Max. Longer VODs are clipped from a 3-hour (or 6-hour) window, starting at the timestamp in your link if it has one. Links over 8 hours are refused.

Does it handle gameplay?

Yes. When a shot has nobody in it, such as pure gameplay, the clip shows the whole frame instead of cropping a third of it. A streamer's webcam overlay in a corner is kept.

How much does it cost?

The free plan does 3 videos a month up to 45 minutes each, with a watermark. Pro is €20 a month (US$20 in the Americas) for unlimited videos with no credits. Max is €45 a month for 6-hour videos.

Is the quality HD?

Clips render in 1080x1920 from the stream's HD source, and Max can export in 4K.
