GetClipMachine vs Klap: clip quotas vs unlimited output

Klap meters differently from most tools in this category. Rather than charging for input minutes, it sells output clips: a monthly quota of finished clips per plan.

That's a meaningfully different trade, and for some workflows it's the better one.

On the numbers here. Klap's plans were read from their public pricing page on 2 September 2026, linked at the bottom. Their page does not publish export resolution, watermark policy, upload minutes or maximum video length, so this comparison doesn't claim anything about those. Check directly if they matter to you.

The pricing, as published

Klap lists three tiers, priced on annual billing:

Output quotas vs input meters

A clip quota is friendlier than an input meter if your source videos are long. Uploading a three-hour VOD that yields eight clips costs you eight clips of quota, not 180 minutes of credit. For long-form podcasters, that's structurally better than a per-minute model.

Where it bites is iteration. Regenerating a clip, trying different boundaries, or producing several variants of the same moment all consume quota against the same source. If your process is "generate a lot, keep the best few", output-based pricing charges you for the discards.

Our model charges for neither. Whether one video produces three clips or fifteen, and however many times you regenerate them, the bill is €15.

What Klap does better

• Built-in publishing and analytics. Unlimited connected social accounts and analytics are listed on every tier. We do neither, you download the file and post it yourself.
• A cheaper entry price. $14/mo on annual billing undercuts our €15, and if 100 clips a month is comfortably more than you need, you're paying less for a superset of our publishing features.
• Multi-account management for agencies running several brands.

What's different here

• No quota of any kind, on videos, clips, minutes or regenerations.
• 3h+ source length, with no per-minute charge for it.

Where we're the weaker pick

• You manage multiple brands' social accounts.
• 100 clips a month is plenty and you'd rather pay $14 than €15 for a broader feature set.

Short version

Klap if you want clipping and distribution in one product, and your volume fits comfortably inside a quota.
